Exporting your data

Updated

Export the tables and columns you choose as a CSV or SQLite file. The export runs in the background and arrives as a downloadable ZIP.

Start an export

  1. Open the account's settings — the ⚙ beside its name in the account menu (☰, at the top left) — then Account, and under Data export, choose New export.
  2. Choose a format: CSV (one file per table) or SQLite (one database with a table per table).
  3. Pick the tables to include, then expand each one to choose its columns.
  4. Optionally include attached files, then start the export.

Readable or raw values

Each column can be exported in a readable form (formatted numbers and currency, reference and option labels) or as the raw stored value (ids and unformatted numbers). Pick per column, depending on whether the export is for a person or another program.

Filter with a view

Each table can be sourced from one of its views instead of all rows — pick a view next to the table and only the rows its query matches are exported (and, when files are included, only those rows' files). The view's columns don't apply; the export picks its own.

Including files

Turn on “Include attached files” to bundle the actual files from your file fields alongside the data. The download is larger, and very large exports can't be downloaded — leave files out or pick fewer tables if you hit the limit.

Downloading

Exports build in the background. You'll get an email when one is ready, and it also appears under Data export in Account settings → Account, with its status. Downloads stay available until you delete them.
